Long bio

About 140 words, for introductions and print

Cal Amir is a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, and the founder of Introduction Lab, where he teaches the science of first impressions and introductions: the first 60 seconds when two people meet that decide whether anything else happens.

Cal began his career as an investment banker on Wall Street, working on billion dollar leveraged buyouts, then spent more than 20 years advising executives, leaders, and founders on strategy, growth, and the decisions that are mission critical to a business. Along the way he refined a repeatable framework for introducing yourself, tested over thousands of real conversations around the world.

Cal has taught this framework at UCLA and is co-authoring academic research alongside a PhD researcher in the subjects of communication, human connection, social neuroscience, and first impressions. He works with companies, conferences, and universities.
